This lens is beautiful but there is a motor grinding noise sometimes when I turn on the camera. I have to switch it off and on to stop it. It doesn't happen everytime.

Excellent focal length, bokeh and image quality. The threads on the front of the lens is imperfect though. For this reason, the lens hood's longest petals doesn't align vertically but locks-in at a tilted position. Didn't expect such quality issues with Sony. Need a replacement.
